A day trip experience on a boat discovering the wonders of Watamu Marine Park and the mangroves is not to be missed.
Departure from your accommodation at 8 a.m. to reach the boat where navigation starts at 9 a.m.
While in Watamu Marine Park, you will enjoy snorkelling, see different types of coral, tropical fish, and wildlife in and out of the ocean. You can spot dolphins, turtles, and other marine life during the boat trip.
We then set off to cross Mida Creek discovering a dense vegetation of mangroves and a vast multitude of birds including herons, kingfishers, pink flamingoes, and other birds of prey.
We then step onto an island in the mangroves for a delicious seafood / vegetarian lunch. After lunch, get entertained by traditional local dancers.
We will then sail to other parts of the mangroves spotting more bird life as we return to the shore.
Lunch, Drinks, snacks, and marine park fees are included.
The duration of the trip is 7 hours.
Cost is €70 by glass boat, then €100 euro by Dhow boat
