Kayaking and Paddle Boarding

  • Mida Creek mangroves
  • Waka Waka (Crab) Island
  • Sunset paddles
  • Local dancers and crab farms

Paddle through the mangroves of Mida Creek to Waka Waka Island, also called Crab Island, with a local guide. Trips run in the morning or the afternoon depending on the tide. In the afternoon the creek turns gold at sunset.

Look for kingfishers, flamingos and African fish eagles, stop for photos in the shallows, and enjoy snacks and traditional dance on the island. You can also visit the local community that runs the crab farms.

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a sun hat, swimwear, a small backpack and a dry bag for your phone.
